Gayland Hansen

Gayland Hansen, 83, of Pahrump, Nev., died May 4, 2024 at his home with his partner Joyce by his side.

Gayland was born Oct. 2, 1940 on his family farm south of Ventura to Forrest and Geneva (Robison) Hansen.

He enjoyed spending summers at his cabin in Minn., fishing on lake Mille Lacs and working on boat motors and winters in Pahrump volunteering his handyman skills at the local museum.

Those left to cherish his memory are Joyce Carlin; sister, Genelle (Gary) Whitehurst; children Tracy Hansen, Shelley Paulsen, Mike Hansen; grandchildren, Melanie, Adam, Alissa, Rona, Tylor, Natasha, Kody; great-grandchildren, Parker and Armonee.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, James; sister, Shirley; and nephew Jimmy.
