Future of Ventura Schools to be discussed
The future of the Ventura School District will be discussed at a special community meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, in the high school gymnasium.
“The Ventura Board of Education and administration would like to discuss future options for the Ventura School District,” stated School Board President Larry Costello.
Issues and options the board plans to discuss with the community will range from increased sharing of activities, best use of the district’s two school buildings,
continuing the current structure of the district, and/or whole grade sharing with a neighboring district.
Costello said the board will share current and future concerns with the community as they seek input from district patrons in order to make wise and prudent decisions for the future of the school system.
