Clear Lake over-powered by Osage in girls tennis

Osage over-powered the Clear Lake girls tennis team in a match played Tuesday, April 10.
Jenna Peterson was Clear Lake’s only winner in an 8-1 meet.  Peterson was a 10-6 winner over Danielle Hejhal in the number one singles match.

“Clear Lake played well, as the scores show. However, we just seemed to not finish the games as strong as Osage for the win,” said Coach Martha Andrews.  “This is the first time for some to play at varsity.  Overall, I was very pleased with the scores due to the inclement weather and wind.  Hopefully the new drills we have been working on will give us the knowledge and ability to compete stronger.”
In junior varsity action, Kristen Hewitt recorded a win in singles, 8-4.
Clear Lake hosts Fort Dodge St. Eds. on Friday, April 20,  at 4:30 p.m.
