CL School Board candidate number jumps to four

What a difference a week makes.
Last week, no candidates had filed nomination papers for the September School Board election in Clear Lake.  But as of Tuesday morning, Aug. 2, there are four candidates for the three seats up for election Sept. 13.

Incumbent Deb Betz has filed seeking re-election.  In addition, Chad Kuhlers, Michael Lollar and Jill Wilhelm have announced their intention to run; all are newcomers to the election process.
Clear Lake incumbents Ron Andrews and Tom Lovell have announced they will not seek re-election.
In Ventura, incumbents Gene Toppin and Steve Watson have filed nomination papers with Board Secretary Nancy Watson.  Board member Lynae Heinemann has not taken out nomination papers.  Three additional candidates have filed papers in Ventura.  Kami Dyre, Danny Miller and Dennis Theobald have filed candidacy papers, said Watson.
