Carla Lowman

    Carla A. Lowman, 75, Clear Lake, died Sunday, June 17, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minn. 
    According to her wishes, her body has been cremated and a graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 21, at the Clear Lake Cemetery with the Reverend Dennis Ganz officiating.  Memorial contributions may be designated to the Carla Lowman Memorial Fund in care of her family.

    Carla Lowman, the daughter of Jesse James and Agnes Darling (Smith) Jubell was born March 1, 1937 in Carroll, Iowa.  She received her GED at Zion Lutheran Church in Clear Lake and a two year degree at NIACC. She was united in marriage to Eugene Lowman and to this union three children were born, Terry, Russ and Jeff.
    Carla was a homemaker for many years before working for E.F. Johnson’s Manufacturing.  She continued working for Sperry-Evis and later worked for UNYSIS and Alexander Batteries in Mason City before retiring.
    Carla enjoyed reading and watching old movies.  She was a member of the Clear Lake Lioness Club and Ventura Lutheran Church.
    Carla is survived by her sons, Terry Lowman, Forest City, Iowa, Jeff (Lori) Lowman, Clear Lake, and Russell Lowman, Ottley, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Luana (Frank) McAllister, Booneville, Iowa and many other extended family members.
    Carla was preceded in death by her parents.
    Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of arrangements.
