Busy schedule for CL girls tennis team

The Clear Lake girls tennis team played two dual matches in two days and participated in a quadrangular meet on the third day. The busy schedule provided lots of opportunities, according to Coach Martha Andrews.

IF-A 8, CL 2
    The Lions played at Iowa Falls Monday, April 30.  Clear Lake’s Alexis Atkinson picked up a win in singles for the Lions, as did the doubles team of Kaitlyn Pitzen and Taylor Julsen.  Julsen also played a very close singles match, but lost in the tie-breaker, 7-5.

Ashley Chizek and Morgan Flory were winners at singles.  Doubles wins record by Steph Duerreger and Olivia Hanna-Marken; Miranda Mundt and Hailey Grell;  and Kelli Gapinski and Mallory Hunt.

Waverly Quadrangular
    The Lions played in tournament format (two singles, two doubles teams) against three schools at a quadrangular held at Waverly May 3.
